Dragon Ball Super is an upcoming sequel to Dragon Ball Z Anime and Manga, produced by Toei Animation. The plot framework and character designs were created by the original author Akira Toriyama.
Dragon Ball Super is the first Dragon Ball Anime produced in 18 years, since Dragon Ball GT, which aired from 1996 to 1997. The beginning of the series plot takes place after the Majin Buu Saga, potentially putting it in either the 10 year gap towards the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament or afterwards.
This new television series is set to begin airing in Japan on Fuji TV, July 5th, 2015.
